Set in the heart of the stunning North York Moors National Park, Botton Village is part of the worldwide Camphill Village Trust and is popular with the locals and visitor nationwide. Botton Village is home to over 300 people, making it the largest community in the Camphill group of villages.
This self-sustaining village has a small but busy community working on the five adjoining farms and in the nearby forest. If you visit the village you can buy the excess foodstuffs produced by the village such as vegetables, meat, cheeses, bread, juice and jam. All of which are organically produced and has even been recognised by the National Organic Food Awards. If you are unable to make it out to Botton Village during your trip you should head to The Dispensary in Whitby that stocks a selection of Botton Village items. There is also a café that serves lunch on weekdays in the village.
On your visit to Botton you will witness first-hand the power of community with people working together in a way that is inspiring.
