[Music] How do I place a stop payment on a pre-authorized
ACH or “Automated Clearing House” payment? Customers have the right to revoke authorization
on an Automated Clearing House payment directly with the debiting merchant. If this hasn’t
already been done, you should do so in writing and retain a copy for your records. To place a stop payment on an ACH transaction,
please call 1-800-TO-WELLS, that’s 1-800-869-3557, or speak with a banker at your local store.
Please note that the more information you can provide the banker about the ACH payment,
the better we can assist you. At Well Fargo, we have the capability to place
Single Dollar ACH Stop Payments as well as Merchant name and Company ID ACH Stop Payments.
The Merchant name and Company ID can be located by the banker assisting you with your Stop
Payment through a review of past transactions from the merchant. Merchant name and Company ID Stop Payments
can only be placed on a previous ACH payment that has been posted to the account. A Single Dollar Stop Payment can be placed
on any ACH payment and will stop all ACH payments from any merchant for that specified dollar
amount. Please note: All ACH Stop Payments are indefinite
and can only be removed by the customer. A stop payment fee may apply.
