Mulvaney Requests ZERO Dollars To Fund CFPB

THE CONSUMER FINANCIAL
PROTECTION BUREAU IS AN ORGANIZATION MEANT TO
PROTECT CONSUMERS. IT TURNS OUT YOU NEED THAT
PROTECTION JUST ON THE STUFF THAT THEY CAUGHT THE BANKS
DOING, THEY RETURNED A TON OF MONEY TO YOU GUYS. THOSE BANKS ARE NOT GOING TO
HAND OVER THE MONEY TO THIS AGENCY UNLESS THEY WERE
CAUGHT RED HANDED. MOST OF
THEIR DONORS OR A LOT OF THEIR DONORS ARE FROM
THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY. STEVE NGUYEN FORECLOSE ON A
GRANDMOTHER FOR $.39 SHE WAS PAST DUE ON. THIS IS A SWAMP HE PRETEND TO BE
AGAINST THE PUT IN CHARGE. A PRIME EXAMPLE IS MICK
MULVANEY. THERE IS IN A BANK THAT MULVANEY
HAS NOT WANTED TO MAKE LOVE TO. SO WHAT DOES TRUMP DO? HE PUTS THEM IN CHARGE OF
CONSUMER PROTECTION FROM THE BANKS. YOU WILL GET A SENSE OF WHAT
MULVANEY ACTUALLY THINKS IN A LITTLE BIT ABOUT CONSUMER
FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU. BUT HE WAS PUT IN THERE TO
DESTROY THE ORGANIZATION. NOW I WILL GIVE YOU THE
EVIDENCE. IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE HE DOESN’T
WANT TO DO CONSUMER PROTECTION. BUT MULVANEY DOESN’T WANT TO
PROTECT YOU THAT’S WHY HE ASKED FOR NO MONEY TO
PROTECT YOU. HE WANTS TO PROTECT THE BANKS. SO MULVANEY GOES IN THERE, BY
THE WAY HE IS NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THE LEADER OF
THAT ORGANIZATION. BY LAW IT GOES TO THE ACTING
DEPUTY DIRECTOR WHO IS LEANDRA ENGLISH. WHEN MULVANEY GETS IN THERE. HE CHANGES THE MISSION
STATEMENT. THIS IS WHAT THE MISSION
STATEMENT USED TO BE. NOW LET’S LOOK AT THE NEW
MISSION STATEMENT. SO NOW OUR NEW MISSION IS GET
RID OF THE REGULATION AND LET THE BANKS RUN WILD. EVEN THOUGH ALL THESE DIFFERENT
PAYMENTS CAME IN AT THE SAME TIME I’M GOING TO TAKE THE
BIGGEST ONE FIRST SO THAT ALL THE REST ARE OVERCHARGES AND I
WILL CHARGE YOU 35 BUCKS FOR EACH ONE OF THOSE
OVERCHARGES. NOW THAT IS AN UNDULY BURDENED
SOME REGULATION. THEY PUT THE ROBBERS IN CHARGE OF THE BANKS. YOU KNOW WHY THEY WANT TO
DESTROY THIS? JUST LAST YEAR ALONE THE
CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU GOT BACK TO YOU GUYS,
CONSUMERS, $12 BILLION. THAT IS $12 BILLION THE BANK SAID
YUP, WE SHOULD NOT HAVE CHARGED YOU THAT. BUT THEY DON’T WANT THAT, THEY
DON’T WANT THE BANKS TO KEEP THOSE $12 BILLION. THIS IS THE SWAMP. HE IS NOT DONE YET. HE ANNOUNCED ON TUESDAY ñ THEY
ARE PREDATORY PAYDAY LENDERS, GIVE THEM A BREAK ALREADY. YOU CONSUMERS WANT PROTECTION
FROM FINANCIAL PREDATORS. NOW THE NEW RULES ARE GOING TO
BE PAYDAY LENDERS, DO ANYTHING YOU’D LIKE, THERE IS NO MORE REGULATION. MICK MULVANEY IS NOT HERE TO
HELP YOU, HE IS HERE TO ROB YOU. HE IS THE CORRUPTION. IF YOU VOTED FOR TRUMP THINKING
HE WAS GOING TO END THE CORRUPTION, HA HA, MAN THAT WAS
A SICK JOKE ON YOU. SPEAKING OF WHICH YOU KNOW WHAT
MICK MULVANEY CALLED THE CONSUMER FINANCIAL PROTECTION BUREAU BEFORE HE TOOK IT OVER? A SICK, SAD JOKE. HE SAID THAT IS ALL
THIS THING IS. TRUMP IS LIKE OH THIS IS A JOKE. THEY DON’T HAVE YOUR BEST
INTEREST IN MIND, THE HEAVIER DONORS BEST INTEREST IN MIND. THIS IS THE ROBBERY.

Drug cartels have avoided using banks in the U.S. to launder their money because our REGULATIONS make it too difficult and risky. The one thing we do that actually helps to fight the war on drugs, and wouldn't you know…

Every single penny you make is going to the rich. Just remember that next time you go to push that ballet box button for Trump. 🤦‍♂️

  3. JC K says:

I tried to verify about the 12 billion they returned last year as Stated in this clip, but the CFPB only states they returned 12 Billion without stating 2017. So to me it feels that is a running total since 2011? Not sure, but most publications don’t say 12 Billion per year, just 12 Billion. TYT should be factual and now I doubt….. Anyway, their role is much needed whatever they save the consumers no matter what the numbers are!!

The federal reserve is the head of the snake. Getting rid of that and then auditing fort knox for the amount of gold there would bring down American tyranny and eventually global tyranny. Bernie Sanders used to be on board with ron paul about auditing the federal reserve but as we all know that bill got no where. Some things are just too much to ask for, especially when freemasonry is involved.

You have to give the Republicans respect for openly admitting they are a bought and owned party by corporate America. At least the corporate democrats try to move forward on social issues ever so slightly. But the Republicans openly walk back on the economy and social issues.

  56. Thomas Smith says:

It blows me away that people still vote Republican.

  57. Michael Sokolow says:

You forgot to mention that Mulvaney said the CFPB will use its $177 million in reserves at the New York Fed to cover its $145 million in projected Q2 expenses. If you think depleting those reserves is a problem, make that argument. You don't have to misrepresent the situation to make the case that Mulvaney hopes to undermine the bureau's mission; that's self-evident.

  58. Jose Penuelas says:

I'd like to see the secretary of "defense" do that

  59. Julie Ake says:

Republicans you are going to be poorer than you are now. Banks are going to take your money as soon as you put it in and there is nothing that you can do about it. Karma, she ia a bitch.

  60. Julie Ake says:

Replucans put your money in credit unions. If you dont know what that is look it up. Most police, teachers, firefighters dont go nears banks. Get a clue guys they are coming for your money. Sad

  61. Snowball9208 says:

Wonder if OMB will approve that request in the Administration's budget request? Oh wait, Mick Mulvaney runs OMB. I'm afeared that we're headed back to the days when "access to credit" becomes an excuse for making any kind of unsuitable loan banks want to. Does anybody remember 2008?

  62. Andi Amador says:

Our next president needs to put Ralph Nader over the CFBC. That's somebody the consumers can trust to look out for their interests. He's not called the 'Father of the consumer protection movement' for just nothing.

Or he could be appointed to the CPSC and Elizabeth Warren could head the CFBC.

Anybody that wants a head of a department or commission who will side against them as a consumer of goods and services, and anyone that wants to do away with regulations that protect them is just too stupid.

Every Trump appointee sides against the consumers and the workers, and the environment, and health and safety, and all in favor of corporate interests.

  63. Denise Eugene says:

Insane ! Hey corporations and big Pharmaceutical do whatever you want to make money . No one is watching …

  64. Eric Price says:

This evil little leprechaun. There will be a price for all of them eventually. Robespierre thought he was invincible and he wound up with his head in a basket, as did all his Mulvaneys.

  68. tintinaus says:

I am giving this a Thumbs Down because Cenk has failed Journalism 101 and failed to report why Mulvaney requested no money. He stated that the department didn't need additional funds since it has such a large reserve it can afford to fund itself for one year on the reserve alone.

There are all sorts of arguments Cenk could have made why this is a bad idea, but his failure to properly report makes the piece a meaningless piece of propaganda.

  73. Jess Newcomb says:

We need something! I have accounts with Bank Of America and somehow someone managed through an agent to open an account and link it to mine and drain my savings and checking account and leave me with nothing. This person was in Virginia and I am in California completely different names and now I am left without anything until Bank Of America decides to refund my monies nothing. This could take over a month and they are not even giving me any temporary account credit. Go figure. They need to be watched.

  76. james R. says:

This guy is too stupid to cover himself by at least requesting a standard sum to fund his agency. This is nakedly obvious as to his motive and just disgusting as usual for a trump appointee. Next he will cite inadequate funding to cover staff reductions . The ORANGE SPHINCTER is the head alligator in the swamp the white house has become.

We should rightly rename it the Commercial Fraudsters protection Bureau.

  79. Michael Jaquish says:

Wow! This fool, Mick Mulvaney is a genuinely evil person. What is the matter with Americans? How do such outwardly corrupt people who have absolutely NO compassion for the public get elected to ANY public office? I'll tell you; Idiot voters. Trump and all his appointees are are a cancer upon our nation.

  80. Michael Jaquish says:

Mulvaney is doing his best to turn America into an oligarchy like Putin has created in Russia. Am I REALLY the ONLY one who sees this?? If we wanted any further proof that Trump is in league with Putin, we have it with Mulvaney. Why isn't anyone suing the jerk in a court of law? Or better yet, arresting him for violating his oath of office to protect America from all threats, foreign and domestic? This guy is a traitor to everything America stands for.

  81. TremereTT says:

You don't get it? Trump does exactly the same to your democracy as Mulvaney does to the CFPB.

  82. Sherlock Holmes says:

Obviously this just goes to show that Malvaney is more efficient with the money he is given! He should be applauded for his fiscal awareness!
Just kidding, this is the “sad joke”!,

  83. Ignacio Morales says:

Next thing will be Trump appointing Martin Shkreli to head the health care regulatory office.

  84. NG says:

It's the Republican MO, he's in the sabotage mode. The next step is to convince people CFPB doesn't work – while side-stepping his own efforts at sabotaging the agency he's in charge of.

  95. Parker Cestaric says:

  96. Edward Maxwell says:

I have no faith in the US economy anymore. The government has been hijacked by self-serving criminals trying to get rich quickly and kick the can to the next guy before the ship sinks.
